Description

This is one Stunning French Bird of Paradise Ruby Diamond Sapphire Gold Brooch !

A large and eye catching  18ct gold Bird of Paradise with undeniable appeal !

Purchased from the same Australian French family as the amazing French Cameroon 18ct cuff bracelet and other items that we currently have listed for sale.

A prominent family in the Parisian legal fraternity and all pieces owned were all outstanding pieces of jewellery with this bird of paradise being no different.

Made of 18ct gold and platinum with the pin also in 18ct gold ,  as was usually the case with fine French gold jewellery of the day. Of substantial size , with the tear drop body , headfeathers and beautifully diamond encrusted long tail feathers  ……….. this is a very special piece of mid 20thC French jewellery ~ without the very special price tag.

Superbly made and in fine original condition yet unfortunately we have been unable to identify the French makers mark after many hours research.
IF this  Stunning French Bird of Paradise Ruby Diamond Sapphire Gold Brooch were made by one of the many ‘top tier’  French jewellers in and around Paris in the 1950s ,  this piece would increase in value in a heart beat by multiples of our selling price ,   with that not be an exaggeration by any means!

Quality European cut diamonds flow down the birds main tail feathers with head feathers highlighted by the  fine coloured bright rubies and diamonds and the large tear drop sapphire has been tested by 2 manufacturing jewellers and tests as a genuine sapphire.  Yet after having the sapphire GIA lab tested ,  all concerned {both jewellers etc} were very surprised to hear it is not a natural sapphire.
It is impossible for anyone to identify the jewel as not being a natural sapphire when wearing it or handling the piece ,  it presents as a natural sapphire without doubt!

If it were a natural sapphire ,  there would be a zero at the end of the current selling price of $3,998
With the price being well below what this would sell for in any ‘high street shops’  ~   it is priced to offer genuinely good value!

If you have any interest in this stunning French Bird of Paradise Ruby Diamond Sapphire Gold Brooch ,  we encourage you take the time to ‘accurately compare’  this piece to any equal grade 1950s French brooch in this bird genre!
You may be surprised to see many in the tens of thousands range!
